Often people ask me “how can u be a foodie if you are so skinny” or “what’s your diet”?
Believe it or not No Diet is my diet 🙂
More or less 15 year ago i met a nutritionist (and recently also my acupuncturist) that taught me to eat consciously and being aware of how important is the food (and its consequential chemical reaction in my body) on influencing our mental and physical health.
Everyday I put a lot of attention on the ingredients and food that i buy, cook and eat because I strongly believe that “you are what you eat”! Once you learn that you don’t need to follow any sad diet anymore.
My No Diet diet it’s only based on consciousness and attention, on the joy of eating well, on the love for my body and the research of b.a.l.a.n.c.e!!!!
Balance and the quality of the ingredients you buy are everything (a bit of proteins, a bit of carbs, very low sugar and a lot of fruit and vegetables + nuts and seeds)!
I travel often, i love to try new restaurants every week and i adore to cook for big table of friends and drink good wines, but i always choose responsibly, trying to respect the balance. Plus every day i add to my menu some “detox” ingredients: lot of lemons (at least one a day), kale, avocado (minimum 4 a week), grapefruit, red beets, broccoli and fennel. Moreover at least for a day a week I have a “100% raw/green/detox” day.
Recently i’ve found a book that reflects very well the principles of my No Diet diet, it’s Eat Pretty by Jolene Hart. The book is incredibly inspiring and Jolene has been able to explain so well how our beauty really comes from within.
Eat Pretty doesn’t want to give us another of those restrictive diets, but want to transmit to us how to provide to our body the most beautiful building blocks to nourish, repair and rejuvenate!
For the first time i’ve found a book that resumes in a simple way what happens in our body and how the food we choose affects our appearance and our mood!
Eat well, be happy and glow
PS: here below my No Diet diet basic principles:
